Congressional Medal of Honor Winner
Jim Howard

Major Jim Howard, a P-51 pilot (shown here with General Carl Spaatz), received the Congressional Medal of Honor at the recommendation of the 401st Bomb Group for single-handedly fighting off a swarm of German fighters attacking the 401st and downing four Nazi aircraft.
